G. Thomas McKaige, III

G. Thomas McKaige, III is an international entrepreneur, consultant, and world traveler. He spent his youth experiencing many areas of the United States as well as abroad while growing up in a military family. He maintains a demanding professional life as well as his own growing international family. Tom is a strong believer in quality education and has been involved in myriad ways with an array of educational institutions.

Mr. McKaige is a seasoned engineering and program management professional with more than fifteen years of experience delivering highly customized aviation systems for high-profile VVIP clients. His career spans the full lifecycle of advanced aircraft systems—conceptual design, development, installation, integration, certification, and post-delivery support—with particular depth in In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) and cabin systems for private and executive aviation.

Tom has built a reputation for managing technically complex, resource-constrained, and schedule-sensitive programs while maintaining strong, long-term relationships with VVIP customers, aircraft completion centers, and maintenance facilities. He is known for his ability to translate client expectations and operational requirements into certified, reliable, and elegant technical solutions, often overcoming significant certification, integration, or logistical challenges. His work frequently involves close coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, completion centers, and designated engineering representatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as DO-160 and DO-178.

Since 2019, Mr. McKaige has served as a private consultant, providing program management, vendor selection, contract consulting, and certification oversight services to established VIP aviation clients. In this role, he acts as a VVIP representative overseeing completion center work, managing system integration, guiding contract engineers, and ensuring that all technical, contractual, and schedule requirements are met. His consulting work draws on deep expertise across the aviation product lifecycle, from pre-contract planning through aircraft delivery and post-delivery support.

Prior to consulting, Tom founded and led EE Ventures in Orlando, Florida, serving as President and CEO from 2001 to 2019. Under his leadership, the company delivered highly specialized IFEC and cabin system solutions for the private aviation market. He directed all aspects of the organization, including engineering management, strategic planning, business development, customer relations, and operations. His responsibilities included overseeing system design, manufacturing, installation, certification, legacy system modifications, and vendor integration. He worked closely with major completion centers and served as a primary point of contact for clients, cultivating trusted relationships while ensuring projects were delivered on time and on budget.

Earlier in his career, Mr. McKaige held engineering and consulting roles with Aerotek and Power Unlimited, where he focused on embedded systems development, systems engineering, team training, and customer-facing technical leadership in both aviation and industrial control environments. His experience also includes research and development work with the Florida Solar Energy Center and early exposure to defense systems analysis through an engineering internship with Lockheed Martin.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida and served on industry advisory boards supporting engineering education. He also served on the UCF College of Engineering Industry Advisory Board in 2005 and was on the board of directors for Central Florida Publishing from 1999 to 2005. His technical strengths include embedded systems, statistical modeling, software development, and aerospace product development, complemented by strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
