Natalia Liviero, Ph.D.

Project Manager

Dr. Natalia Liviero holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Florida International University

(2024). Her doctoral dissertation examined; "The Vatican: Protecting Christian Minorities in the

Middle East Through the Use of Interreligious Dialogue as a Soft Power Foreign Policy

Strategy." Her research focuses on interreligious dialogue, humanitarian assistance, refugees,

migrants, and the role of faith-based actors in social action. She has substantial field experience

working with religious humanitarian organizations in the Middle East. In 2017, she served with

VIDES+USA, a Catholic volunteer organization, working with Syrian and Iraqi refugees in

Jordan through programs led primarily by Caritas. From 2019-2020, she coordinated the

Pastoral of Human Mobility for the Catholic Church in Roatan, Honduras, supporting migrant

families and returnees. From 2022-2025, she managed capacity building programs at USAID's

Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance.

Dr. Liviero's academic foundation includes a masters degree in Global Governance,

Globalization and Security, completed in 2015 at Florida International University (F.I.U.) in

Miami, and a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration from Universidad

Argentina de la Empresa (U.A.D.E.) in her native Buenos Aires. She also completed a graduate

certificate in National Security Studies in 2014 and a graduate certificate in Middle Eastern

Studies in 2015, both from F.I.U.

Her career began in Buenos Aires, Argentina, before she moved to Miami in 2002, where she

spent six years as International Sales and Marketing Manager in the home furnishings industry,

working across Latin American and Caribbean markets — an experience that drew her into

operations concerns, supply chain matters, and business logistics. In 2009, she joined a leading electronics company as Logistics and Operations Manager, where she developed e-commerce fulfillment centers in both the U.S. and the U.K. She brings over 15 years of experience in global supply chain management across multicultural environments spanning Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America.

Dr. Liviero has been a member of the Argentinean Council of International Relations (CARI) since 2002, joining its Committee for the Middle East in 2025. She has also been a member of the

Information & Policy Analysis Center (IPAC), a nonpartisan, nonprofit scientific research

foundation, since 2013. She is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and Italian, with

intermediate proficiency in Hebrew and Arabic.
