Greg McDowall earned a master's degree in international studies at the University of Central Florida, studied the development of modern Iran using a generational analytic method for his thesis. He earned his first bachelor's degree in physics and music at Rollins College, following it with a master of science in meteorology at Florida State University. At the University of Central Florida, he earned a second bachelor's in international relations, graduating with honors in the major. For the past 3 years, he has worked with Dr. Houman Sadri researching Iran's political economy, and for the last year has been studying asymmetric power relations with him as well.
